Sporting news: Unbeaten Chelsea boss Porter returns to Brighton as semi-finals heat up

Graham Potter is unbeaten as Chelsea manager. He is aiming to extend that record into double figures when he returns to Premier League clubs Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Porter was lured from Swansea City by Brighton in 2019 to take over at Stamford Bridge following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel. While Chelsea hasn’t been great since his arrival, the 47 -year-old has taken little time to get his message across.

Nonetheless, they have drawn in their last two Premier League games in a row. Away against Brentford and at home against Manchester United, they struggled to create chances in those games to put them in fifth place.

Victory at Salzburg on Tuesday means Chelsea has reached the last 16 of the Champions League, but Porter will be eager to get back to winning ways in the league as the battle for the top four heats up.

Bad omen

The manager has his critics at Brighton, but he is missed by most of the club’s fans.

Brighton is without a win in five Premier League games under Italian Roberto Dezebi and has only scored in their past four since a thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool a ball.

This doesn’t bode well for Dezeby as Brighton has never beaten Chelsea in the Premier League, losing six, drawing four, and actually only beating them once in their history, in the FA Cup in 1933.

Let everyone look forward to how the undefeated Chelsea coach Porter leads the entire team to break records!
