Manchester United and Ajax reach agreement over the transfer of Brazil international winger Antony..

Manchester United announced on its official website last night that the club have reached an agreement on the transfer of Brazil international winger Antony with Ajax.

According to Manchester United’s official statement, the club has reached an agreement with Ajax for Antony’s transfer fee, and the transfer will be completed subject to the player arrives in Manchester to complete a medical examination, sign a contract and obtain a work permit.

In addition, according to earlier report from renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Antony’s transfer fee is set at €100million in total, of which €95 million are fixed initial fee, with an additional €5million as add-ons.

Antony will sign on a five-year deal which runs until the summer of 2027, with an option for a further year with Manchester United if not mistaken.

The 22-year-old Antony was born on February 24, 2000 in Osasco, São Paulo, Brazil. He is 1.72 meters tall and plays as a winger. Anthony joined São Paulo’s youth system at an early age and made his first-team debut in November 2018.

On February 23, 2020, Antony transferred to Ajax for £18.2 million. As soon as he came joined de Godenzonen, Antony immediately showcased his talents and continued to maintain a high efficiency in goalscoring and assisting to help the club win the Eredivisie championship.

Last season, Antony made a total of 33 appaerances for Ajax in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and assisting 10 times. In addition to winning the Eredivisie championship, he also won the KNVB Cup with the club.

As reported by Romano and the renowned Manchester United’s Dutch independent correspondent Jonas Hen Shrag not long ago, Antony had deliberately missed the closed-door training session and even delibrately miss Ajax’s match against Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie in order to force his move to the the Red Devils, forcing head coach Alfred Schreuder to exclude the Brazilian from the squad.
