The Cleveland Cavaliers have formalized the transfer of NBA All-Star Guard Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. Mitchell received a warm and lively welcome and also a response from Club President, Koby Altman. In addition, the mother of Mitchell is also very happy and supports Mitchell’s move to the Cavaliers.

To get Mitchell, Altman had to barter with the Utah Jazz. Where they will get basketball players from Finland, Lauri Markkanen, Guard Collin Sexton and Ochai Agbaji. These three basketball players are NBA first-round drafts for 2005,2027 and 2029 and swabs for 2026 and 2028.

Reports by AFP on Thursday revealed the deal gave the Cavs plenty of young talent. Of course, the Jazz also have many options to rebuild the strength of the team. Altman said he was very happy because the Cavaliers got one of the best young basketball players.

“The acquisition of Donovan Mitchell provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to bring one of the NBA’s most dynamic young All-Stars to Cleveland,” said Cavaliers President Koby Altman.

Last season, Mitchell averaged 25.9 points and 4.2 rebounds and a career-high 5.3 assists with 1.5 steals. Average scoring 3.6 3-pointers for the NBA’s fourth-ranked team.

“Already a natural and proven talent at the age of 25, Donovan brings a competitive mentality that organically fits into the core group of this team,” said Altman.

“We’re excited to see the impact someone of Donovan’s caliber will bring to the Cavaliers with his ability to not only score points. But also play for his team-mates.” he continued

Mitchell will join the Cavaliers lineup alongside Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and 2022 All-Rookie forward Evan Mobley. Cleveland hasn’t made it to the playoffs since LeBron James went to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018. After leading the Cavs to four consecutive NBA Finals, including one title in 2016.
